Voices Celebrates 30th Year! Celebrate 30 years of singing with Voices from the Heart! Voices celebrates this special anniversary, singing their favorite songs from 1995 to the present. Don’t miss Voices from the Heart’s special anniversary concert on November 23 at South Church, 292 State St in Portsmouth at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm!
“We are so excited to be singing songs from all three of our decades!” shares director, Joanne Connolly. “We are singing one VERY BELOVED Gospel song from our very first singing semester, a song supporting Ukraine during the pandemic when we sang outside under a tent to a sold out ‘house’ of over 500 audience members, one of our favorite songs from South Africa that we sang throughout that beautiful country in 2018, the gorgeous ‘Largo’ from Dvorak, and so much more! To celebrate singing from our first semester to our present one, we add two never-been-sung by Voices songs….the very popular “What Happens When a Woman” and a Classic James Taylor song, ‘That Lonesome Road.’ We will be celebrating all year from fall of ’24 through spring of ’25! This coming spring we prepare for our celebratory trip to Scotland! The spring will see more Voices classics plus amazing music from Scotland!
Randy Armstrong will be on hand on November 23 to offer the world beat for our South African music and to play his Native American flute as we sing a beautiful Navajo song. Our friend and guitarist, Jonathan Booth, will be playing on ‘Never One Thing’. The concert will be a very rich mix of Voices’ greatest hits and new favorites. Don’t miss it!”
Get your tickets before they sell out! Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door on concert day.
Doors open to the public a half hour before concert time. Don’t miss Voices from the Heart singing “Keep on Loving Boldy!” on November 23 at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. at South Church, 292 State Street in Portsmouth.
