Randy Armstrong provided scoring for the play “The Case of the Vanishing Firefish” performed by the EnActe Theatre. The play, written by Ajay Chowdhury, adapted by Vinita Belani and Raashina Humayun, and directed by Vinita Belani,. The story is features a young girl named Ayesha who is tasked by Shekina, Queen of the Seas, to find out why the Firefish keep disappearing.

“Climate change or environmental disaster? If the firefish keep disappearing, life as we know it on the planet will be destroyed! Ten-year-old Ayesha has courage, intelligence, creativity, and a complete lack of caution. Even so, the mission that Shekina, Queen of the Seas, has charged her with may be slightly out of her league! Surrounded by cryptic clues involving Galileo, Gaudi’s Casa Batllo, Stephen Hawking’s theories and the science of wormholes, Ayesha undertakes a perilous quest across the world. With naught but a snarky surfboarding snail as a sidekick, she’ll need to be as bold as the sea in order to save the world!”

The show opened at the Cubberly Theatre in Palo Alto, California and ran from January 31st through February 2nd, 2020.
